Sailing in San Diego

Rique and I joined my parents for a road trip down to San Diego to visit Uncle Matthew.
The weather was hot and humid, but the water was great. We bbq'd and played at the beach. Rique road the 'monkey' board with his uncle and we all had a good time. That evening we swam in the pool at the hotel and drove to Old Town for a great mexican dinner.
The next day we all went sailing with Matthew in the harbor. Everyone took a turn at the wheel, it was very exciting. It was good to visit, and Seth was happy to have us home.

Ventura County Fair

It was a great day for the fair. After a sleepless night (she was too excited to sleep), Grandma Norton set out to the fair accompanied by her family. We saw the pigs and horses, smelled the manure, viewed art exhibits, rode ponies, watched jousting matches between the Great Grandsons, toured the horticulture building, ate lunch and finished the day off with chocolate dipped ice cream bars as Grandma's treat.

Mom brought Grandma from Ojai and we all met up with them at the fair. Robin and Terry brought a wheelchair for Grandma to use, although she did get up and walk whenever she got a chance. Amber and Jason came as well as Tanya and Enrique. Dad showed up during his lunch hour to get a Pink's chili dog and some of those tasty candied almonds. Chris and Minh came with Ethan for a few hours and toured the fair before Chris had to head off to work. Seth even joined us at the very end before everyone went their seperate ways.

Enrique and Jason had a great time chasing each other around. Grandma vowed she wasn't at all tired, she said that she gets tired staying in the house all day. She says she'd like to go to the zoo next. Everyone get ready!
