Mary Appel and her grandson, Connor, took us to the zoo this morning. We had a great time! We rushed past the sea otters, zoomed through the creepy crawly room, dashed past the penguins and elephants to the train.
After the train ride, the kids headed straight for the fake grass hill to go sliding. Luckily, Mary had experience with this hill and came prepared with cereal boxes for the kids to slide down the hill with. They had a great time. I think we stayed there for a good 30-45 minutes.
After the grass hill sliding, the boys were pretty pooped. They climbed up this tree and that was about it. We tried to see the lions, but only half of us made it there.

The boys were ready to go, so we left and headed off for more adventures at McDonald's and "Appel Land" , where a kid can be a kid and so can an adult.
