Thank you mom for the package today.
I especially liked the picture of my first day of school. 
It reminded me not of school, but of the memories that interlock us with our mothers and family.
You have all the memories of my birth, babyhood, toddler years, preschool and beginning school. You know what I liked and disliked, what games I played and the type of little person I was before my memories began to stick.
Now, I hold all those memories of my children, and for some reason, I think that helps interlock us even more.
I love you mom & dad.

Wow, your kids have your smile. I think I already knew that, but seeing you all ready for your first day of school hit it home. So precious.
