Kindergarten Thanksgiving

Its official, our little boy is a big boy. Enrique has had loose teeth since the last week of October, but with no progress. Then yesterday we noticed one was really wiggly. I told him to just keep on wiggling the tooth and eventually it would come out. He came back about 5 minutes later and said it wasn't working. Jokingly, I told him he could just yank it out himself. Never did I think he would do such a thing, but a few minutes later he shows up with a bloody tooth and bloody grin. He danced around in excitement holding his tooth. We are very proud of Enrique and the great big boy he is becoming.
Pilgrims and Indians poured out of the kindergarten doors today when it was time to pick up the kids. We'll discuss today that Indians are also called Native Americans and try to research the name of the actual tribes involved in the first Thanksgiving. He is very proud of his little outfit and we are too. Thank you Mrs. Collard for a wonderful school experience.

Lunch Hour

We all love that Seth can come home for lunch, almost everyday.
Look at the smile on our baby's face, its evident that he loves his papa.

Enrique Reads

Our son proudly brought home a book from school today and announced that Mrs. Collard said he could read this all by himself and he totally can. I am such a proud mom.

Random

Joaquin dressed in is Sunday best, before church.
Rique got a hold of the camera and took a few candid shots, here's Aurora.
He took this picture all by himself, can you tell? :)
Seth does a great job of getting Joaquin to smile.
Unfortunately, the flash on the camera counter acts that.
Seth and his kiddos. Rique sleeps so easily, Aurora is another story.

Falling into Autumn

I got most of her hair into a ponytail today.

what are big brothers for, if not to dump leaves on you

Leave piles are a blast

throwing leaves is almost as much fun as raking them, almost

My favorite picture

We have a lot of leaves, which means we have a lot of fun.

Brotherly love

Enrique was in charge of rocking Joaquin to sleep, but it worked the other way.

My two babies

Aurora is a wonderful "big" sister. She loves to help with Joaquin and is the first to alert me if he is in need of something. She is also 1 1/2 years old and wants her momma too. Whenever I nurse Joaquin on my recliner, she eagerly climbs up to be near us. I was burping Joaquin in this picture and she wanted in. Photo courtesy of my five year old, Enrique.

Nap at Last

Aurora doesn't like to take naps or go to sleep at night. It would be just fine if she'd go to sleep at 7 or even 8, but she just won't sleep.
She was super grumpy so we went for a walk in hopes that she would go to sleep. I walked our entire neighborhood with no luck. We walked up to our house an hour later with her still awake. I dragged them up our stairs and into the house and then, she fell asleep. Who knew the bumpy stairs could be so relaxing.
