Rique behind the camera

Rique took the camera, as I updated yesterday's blog. Aurora was napping and he got some sweet photos of her.

We pulled our Halloween decor out of the basement and started decorating. We made a giant spider's web on our front porch, I'll take a picture of it once we add our spider. We also stuffed a scarcrow, but without the overalls he looks pretty uneven. We gotta work on him too.

Aurora wants to eat

The other night while we were eating, Aurora was reaching for my food and looking quite envious, so I decided it was time to give her some of her own.

Oatmeal and peaches is a big hit. Enrique was making her giggle while I took the pictures. What a cutie!

Chillin in the backyard

With all we had to do on Saturday, the best thing we could do for our family, was to take a break and enjoy our kids and backyard.

Seth came home from work, and some how we found ourselves outside just relaxing.
I was enjoying things so much, I thought that we should document our together time.
Rique took the photos of Seth and I, I thought they turned out pretty good.

Sleepin Sweet

Julie and the girls came over for a visit. While Julie and I were chatting, my sweet baby fell asleep. I love her so much!

Service at your door

The door bell rang, we opened it and found four young girls eager to serve. They were going door to door as an activity for Primary. Their service scavengar hunt list had many things on it. We chose for Rique to be read to. He chose the book that Grandma made him.

The birthday party

Enrique got invited to the birthday party of a little boy in his primary class. Spencer's birthday party started at the kid's restaurant, Mac & Cheese. Enrique ordered a pancake on a stick. Afterwards, the kids sang Happy Birthday and ate chocolate cupcakes, yumm.
After lunch the party moved to Trafalga, where the kids played miniature golf, in the dark!
Rique posed with this cute little girl from the party, Tia Roxsana said they look like John Travolta and "Sandra Dee" from "Grease."
Rique and Momma
To end the festivities, the kids were taken on go cart races. This is a picture of Enrique with Spencer's dad, Austin, racing around the track. It was a very fun day.

Our Apple Tree

Our apples are turning red!

They're not ready to pick yet, and thank goodness.

I have my hands full with peaches.

Aurora eats Oatmeal

She's got her spoon and I've got mine. She did pretty well. I don't imagine that it was the most filling meal, but she's getting the hang of it.
Enrique thought she was too messy so he got a washcloth to clean her up. He was so gentle.
I love this picture. I think I've got a future photographer in the making.

The number 2

Its time to identify numbers. Enrique chose to work on the number 2.

I drew the number 2 on a piece of paper and he cut it out and glued it to another paper.

We found and taped two peach pits to our paper and hung it on the wall.

Rique chose to hang it above his bed. Peace.

Granados Look-alike Meter

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Geneology - Family tree chart

Happy Birthday Tanya!

I got to sleep in.
I didn't have to prepare a single meal.
I got tons of hugs and kisses, neat gifts and beautiful cards.
31 is turning into a great year.

Seth started my morning with sweet rolls and chocolate milk (my favorite) accompanied by a pot of yellow daisies for me.

I had so many things I wanted to do on my special day, but the most important to me was spending time with my little family. Thank you for taking the day off, Seth.

Enrique made me a birthday card on his very own. I especially like the portrait of me with my arms and legs coming out of my head and my hair standing straight up. And he thinks I'm beautiful.

With my breakfast, I opened my package from Mom and Dad. Thank you so much for the brownies and gift card to Ross.

We went out for Chinese food and then to Ross. Seth walked around the store with the kids while I shopped in peace. I ended up getting some very comfortable pants and bubble bath.

In the evening, Roxsana and Jarom invited us over for a birthday dinner, Carne Asada, beans, rice, and hot dogs and chips for the kids. It was wonderful. She had her tiki torches lit outside along with paper globe lanterns hanging in the porch. There was even music.
To top of the evening, Seth made me a delicious birthday cake (lemon, also my favorite) and Jarom brought out sparklers and glow sticks for everyone.

It was fun to get gifts from everyone, I felt very special.

The School of Granados

Rique decided to play a game for his math time. We played the game memory. He does really well remembering where all the cards are, sometimes better than me. We played 4 times, we might have played more, but I won the last time and he didn't like that. Its time for us to work on good sportsmanship too.
While we were busy doing this, Aurora read (ate) a book.

FYI: Aurora had her 4month check up and is now a comfortable 18 lbs. The doctor says she looks good, that "she's off the charts."

Latin American Festival

If there's a special weekend, which means bascially any weekend in the summer, there's a festival, rodeo or carnival to go to.

Labor day weekend was the Festival Latinoamericano in Provo.

We all enjoyed watching the dancers (Issac & Nadia), as well as the good food (yummy popusas) and fun ride (thank you Tio Jarom.)

Mario and Ariela were asked to be interviewed on BYU's

spanish channel. I had him hold Aurora so she could be on TV. She did great.

Labor Day Photo Shoot

As we were waiting around to go to the festival. I thought we'd take some photos of our darling Mei Mei.
I love the expressions she's making these days.I found this piece of tulle in our diaper bag, it proved to be the perfect hair accessory for Rora.I thought she was doing such a good job, we'd try and take some professional shots on our own. The baby blanket makes a perfect backdrop.

She's getting so strong.
She's a doll.

She was doing so well, I thought we'd try her sitting up.She's not quite that strong yet.Luckily, Big Brother was at her side to pick her up.He loves her so much, and is such a great help with his sister.
He keeps asking if we can have more, "4 kids and 4 girls."
