Project after project, I try to get Enrique to practice using the scissors, but with no success.

Enrique asked if we could do an art project and I agreed. I went straight to my books, looking for something creative to do. While I was doing that, Enrique was started creating something.

He found a piece of cardboard lid from a box of Aurora's diapers and folded it in thirds to form a "ship."

I taped it for him and then he asked if we could paint it. I provided the water colors and he painted his "ship."

Later he asked for the scissors and some paper. He cut up the paper and glued it on to his newly painted "ship."

He says that this is a ship that flies in the air, it looks like something from Star Wars if you ask me.
